the farm bill is only one of many reasons he cancelled recess, and not likely the most important one.. Looks like a difficult row to hoe to me.

senate farm bill MAY contain hemp support and MAY pass in june, as senate majority leader is pushing hard for it.
However House version of Farm bill has NO such hemp support, and when passed, will have NO hemp support language. So then the different versions go to joint conference committee where there is only a possiblity of hemp support in final version. And final version must still be passed by House which showed no support in their own version.
I think the problem is that hemp is so valuable in so many ways that it will literally undercut the viability of many competing commercial enterprises in many states as it will be much cheaper than the imported hemp available now. So House reps who are much more sensitive to their districts than senate reps, will have to deal with local district resistance if they support hemp.
