Here is a fly-over pic by USGS today. Vacationland and the Waiopae tide pools did not make it. The houses in the foreground used to be the houses "on the hill" by the 1960 flow. They are now even with the new lava. A few house at the top of the picture are on the border of Beach Lots and Vacationland. Kapoho Bay is now Kapoho Point. In 1960, a fissure opened up nearby and took out the "town" of Kapoho. Always knew there was a risk. I DIDN'T think a fissure five miles away in Leilani would make it's way to us, and I never thought it would be so powerful.
