Ah, you've done well with collecting, much better than I. I know that a lot of cards get bought and sold on ebay. But you should get them graded by https://www.psacard.com/ first if you want to sell now. It never dawned on me that the prices cards are going for would be so high. I talked to a guy who said he had lots of Mantle rookie cards when he was young, maybe 10 or so. They now sell for $50,000+ depending on condition. Check this out --

I have maybe 50 to 100 albums by The Beatles, Dylan, Captain Beefheart and assorted others, when they first came out if you'd be interested although most of them have a lot of crackles and pops. They're really not in investable condition, I don't think. I'll probably never listen to them again. The songs are ingrained in my mind as much as they'll probably ever be. And I can always listen to them on YouTube.

Back to cards, I had the complete collection of the Topps 1969-70 basketball set with doubles or triples of many of them. I think I had 3 Lew Alcindor's (Kareem Abdul Jabbar). I sold just about all my cards to Kit Young for about $1700 in the early nineties and almost all the rest, including the Julius Erving rookie, to a guy I know for $500. I have a few cards left, but nothing of much value.
