Normally the data is just announced.
Now the thing is, given that the top-line data will be provided within the next 8 days, by now they must already have the key findings of the top-line data to hand.
Thus if the data is poor, why on earth would they want to send out such an announcement? I disagree that this should be construed as a "warning", as what company would ever send out a "warning"? A "warning" letter wouldn't makes sense at all.
Therefore, while I admittedly find it out of the ordinary to send out such a heads up, it would make more sense that this would expect something positive than a warning or why else bother with the PR?
