Among utilities, Con Ed paid continuously since 1885. Here are the other 100 year payers:

That 500 share Standard Oil certificate is from their original stock issue and is hand signed by JD Rockefeller. You could probably buy several nice countries for the wealth that one piece of paper could have generated since 1882. Rockefeller's original firm was broken up around 1911 creating most of today's large American oil companies including Mobil, Texaco, Chevron and of course, Exxon.

Heck, just buying 500 shares of Standard Oil in the 1920s would have made someone and his progeny fabulously wealthy. It's another Pennyland myth that you have to get in"on the ground floor" to make big money.
