When the ticker i was in announced it was acquired, the PR was after hours. The next day at opening bell the bid was at that price and everyone could sell into it at will. It never dipped. This went on for a period of time. If you didn't sell, they would mail you a check (i assume, i didnt wait to find out lol). I sold into the bid cashed out a nice premium. So yes, i got the price that was in the PR.

My point was that if you put shares up for sale at $1 GTC and the offer was for $2 i think that person might run the risk of having the order filled in a situation like that as the MMs bring the bid up in the morning, pre market.
