In simple terms

Institutions in some instances are not allowed to buy when PPS is below $5.00 per share. Once these shares become $50.00 a share, there is a "chance" they can & will buy in, but no guarantee.

You will definitely see a huge decrease in the # of shares traded since they will become more expensive. And the reverse is true. Cheaper the shares the more volume.
