Surprisingly thoughtful and somewhat balanced post from you Bubs. Let's go over your points...

In order for the "system" to have total integration requires that individual own a VODX Wallet; which I'm assuming would contain lots of personal data and metadata regarding purchasing habits, interests, and purchasing power.

I can only speak for myself that I do NOT want people to know any of that information about me.

The question for the bathroom owner isn't whether people want it but whether it works. If it's meant to drive business to an event or restaurant in a casino, for example, the success is a measurable increase in attendance. Personal data doesn't get uploaded unless the targeted customers actually install the wallet on their cell phone or other device. It's voluntary.

I can possibly see this at large venues; like a sports stadium that holds entertainment events... I can also imagine bathroom users getting irritated WAITING for someone else to finish washing their hands who might be delayed because their watching an ad or pulling out their phone to download the wallet app.

As I said I saw these in operation in a Las Vegas casino. The bathroom was huge and had about a dozen sinks. I'd say it rarely has people waiting in line to use the sink. LOL In any event, as I said the question for the buyer isn't whether people get irritated but whether it works. The technology is adaptable and can be placed on walls or virtually anywhere like an elevator or theater line where people have to wait for something.

The last thing is practicality. If displays or faucets break, the whole unit would need to be replaced? I can't imagine facilities carrying extra stock.

Why not? I'm sure large venues like casinos, hotels and sport stadiums carry extra stock of a lot of things that could break down. They'd probably only need a couple units and I can't imagine that they're super expensive.

Finally, looks like a brand new product that just came out in the past 1-4 weeks? So, I'm making an assumption that not many have been sold.

As I've said, I've seen them in operation in Las Vegas and they claim to have over 1,000 faucets already installed...

One more point, since all these DOOH ads will be running on the same network with the same underlying software, if there are any changes to advertising regulations due to privacy concerns, they can all be updated simultaneously with one fix.
