re: Lot's of pro's & contra's about this subject, well the news was covered in the NOrwegian Newspapers so not really a rumor. Anadarko was willing to pay 8 Billion Norske Kroner for this field...

Question is, if DNO is willing to sell that part of the portfolio for a juicy cash bonus...

Leaving a probable monster field which could contain +1 Billion barrels in a political stable region...for big time cash is probably a nono, missing a hellavu boost in revenues in the year's to come...on the other side it will probably take year's before they see any production from this field & the cost development for Goliat will be enormous let's not forget that DNO is still a small E&P company & where the Oil price is heading in the meantime before production is another question...

They could use the cash and furfill there main mission, finding giant fields in the rest of the world through exploration at minimum cost & not by takeovers...and so far this CEO did his best so far for the shareholders...this year was more or less dissapointing but the recent string of news since august was couraging...Godah/Tasour22/constitution in Iraq....

Anyway, either option looks good too me imho, what does the rest of the board think who are still shareholders in DNO?
