LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13 – District Judge David Brown Friday sentenced two Los Angeles lawyers to 72 hours in jail and fined them $100 each for trying to make a “press spectacular” out of the case of Charles D. Watson, charged in the Sharon Tate murders

“I am fining you $100 and jailing you for 72 hours but I will suspend this provided you take the next plane back to California and shut your mouths,” Brown told the attorneys, Perry Walshin and David DeLoach.

“I admonish you for making a circus out of my courtroom,” said the Judge.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A committee of the State Bar has heard complaints that a nonaccredited law school in San Jose was headed by a convicted felon and disbarred attorney who collected tuition from more than 40 students and then virtually abandoned the school. The "tale of woe" told Wednesday by students Bobbi Mendenhall and Marge Sponsler concerned the operation of Ocean University College of Law, once headed by David DeLoach.

Committee member George Hilsinger termed the testimony "a horror story" and a spokesman for the committee said the story "shocked all of us." DeLoach, once convicted of pimping and pandering, has resigned as head of the San Jose school but other testimony...
