Perhaps, but I think we (i.e., the people of New Jersey) will be inordinately stupid if we allow it to happen here. Not only do we lose a major source of ongoing and growing revenue, but making that kind of money available to politicians is an invitation to disaster.
Incidentally, the commissions on the transaction would be enormous. We can be sure our ex-Broker governor found a way to a slice of that pie.
