It's not that people are calling stores and distributors. It's that they were harassing the stores. They were yelling at them, calling them liars, demanding that they take pictures of the product. The same people were calling dozens of times a day. The motivation wasn't to gather information but purely to sabotage and harass.

That has subsided somewhat now. Many people have already reported that they have seen the product in stores and they have bought some.
