Hemp is legal as a textile and food, but it has not been legal to grow hemp without a special permit from the so called "Farm Bill" most hemp products in the USA are/ and were from Canada as its legal for anyone to grow hemp up there. Some states produce hemp now with this special permission farm bill, but now Mitch Mcconnell is trying to introduce a bill making it totally legal to grow hemp here, so imports from canada will go down as we can grow more of our own.
