Read the paragraph below from his Linked In & you'll be amazed, I think the company IS going to make a very strong push into blockchain technology for financial services, or into stuff like the Internet of Things. What this guy doesn't know about coding, you can fit on the back of a postage stamp!

The company clearly expects to move far ahead on new IT development projects using Mr Callaghan's experience and knowledge.

This guy is so accomplished, he'll be able to fix any bugs in the GDPR software all by himself!


Summary

I bring twenty years of development experience and I'm currently hands-on with Hadoop/Spark, blockchain and cloud, coding in Java, Scala and Go.

I'm certified in and work extensively with Hadoop, Cassandra, Spark, AWS, MongoDB and Pentaho.

Most recently, I've been bringing integrated blockchain (particularly Hyperledger and Ethereum) and big data solutions to the cloud with an emphasis on integrating Modern Data produces such as HBase, Cassandra and Neo4J as the off-blockchain repository.

I have a strong focus in Data Governance working with new and contributing to the new Data Governance Initiative platform applications like Atlas, Falcon and Ranger and I am particularly interested in leveraging blockchain soutions like Hyperledger in Data Governance and graph databases like Neo4J in Master Data Management.

I've implemented Big Fast Data solutions using Storm, Spark and Kafka streaming into both HBase and Hive using both Java and Scala as well as Big Data hadoop-based workflow engines using Oozie, Sqoop, Flume and Falcon in Yarn. I've published multiple articles and white papers including a deep dive into the Hive architecture under Tez with an emphasis on ORC.
