Summary of rules and scoring for upcoming Non-Points contest:

The Monster Energy Open will be three stages set at 20, 20 and 10 laps respectively. Each stage winner will advance to the evening’s main event.

The format for the annual non-points event will include four stages – 30 laps, 20 laps, 20 laps and 10 laps. Only green flag laps will be counted in the Final Stage. Normal stage break procedures will be in effect, with one exciting addition: NASCAR Overtime will be in play for all stages. Of note, there will be no mandatory pit strategy as in some of the previous editions of the event.

Pick any 4 for the Monster Energy Open (Formerly known as the Showdown) and any 4 for the All Star. Top ten NOT in play.

The first two stage winners in the Open don't advance and therefore they will both be awarded 1st place . Finishing position at the end of the race will determine the rest of the field. It's possible to have three 1st place finishers!

The All Star Race will go by finishing position at he end of the race. The picks that don't make the final 10 car segment will be awarded 11th place on down in whatever way TTT wants to score it. wink

Low aggregate total wins. IE: if you picked 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th your points would be 1+2+3+4 = 10. If you picked 2nd 3rd 5th and 10th the scoring would be 2+3+5+10 = 20 and would be 10 points BEHIND the 1-2-3-4 picker.

Low score for the Open and the All Star combined will be the mid season champ. Mid season scores will be add to the Early season non-points contest at Daytona. That total will determine the 2018 Over-all Non-Points Champion.

Any questions just ask.

Vic
