Rules for the Open and All-Star, the final two races in our non-points contest this Saturday night May 19th @ Charlotte:

Pick 3 cars per race...
Races are scored based on finish i.e.
1st place get 1 point...
2nd place finish gets 2 points, etc...
low score wins
tiebreaker:
1. most wins
2. low score for race working back from the All-Star until ties are broken...

Scoring for the Open:
The Monster Energy Open will occur Saturday evening prior to the Monster Energy All-Star Race and will include three stages (20 laps / 20 Laps / 10 laps). The winner of each stage will earn a spot in the all-star race.
Drivers finishing 1st in Segment 1 and 2 will be awarded 1st place points---all other drivers will be scored based on their finishing order after Segment 3...
Scoring for the All-Star:
Scoring will be based on the order of finish after Segment 4--the 10 lap dash for the $$...only 10 drivers make the final phase---any picks in our contest who don't make the final segment will be scored based on how NASCAR determines their finish order...
The All-Star race format is as follows:
- The race will feature four stages (30 laps / 20 laps / 20 laps / 10 laps), totaling 80 laps.
- The goal for all drivers: Earn a spot in the final 10-lap, 10-car stage.
- The winner of each of the first three stages will lock up a spot in the final stage, as long as they remain on the lead lap after the third stage.
- The cars with the best average finish in the first three stages will make up the remaining spots needed to fill the 10-car final stage.
- The remaining 10 cars will be lined up by average finish of the first three stages and given the option to pit. Exit off pit road determines starting order for final stage.
- The winner will be awarded $1,000,000.
- 2nd place gets 2 weeks in Cleveland
- 3rd place gets 4 weeks in Cleveland
