FYI, I am not an Intel pessimist nor an AMD proponent. AMD is just another semiconductor firm and I think a strong AMD (or Intel) is good for the market. Competition spurs innovation.

I am also happy with the INTC stock price action so far and for good reason. I am an Intel retiree and an oversized portion of my portfolio is still in INTC (although I have started diversifying during the Krzanich tenure).

I still have a lot of contacts within the company and know for a fact that the culture which made Intel great has been effectively killed off under Krzanich. I do not think this bodes well for the firm in the long term. But the rise in price offers excellent opportunity to continue to diversify while taking gains (many of my shares have a split adjusted basis in the single or low double digits).

But after serving under Andy Grove, I see Krzanich as more of a liability than an asset.
