Power tools are in the eyes of the holder. I still have my Craftsman skil saw and it works just fine. I have a Makita sawall and which I like as well.

For drills I did go with an 18V Ryobi which came with a little skilsaw and I have been impressed by them as well.

During Xmas I picked up a couple of batteries for the drill and skilsaw along with a small portable air compressor.
