Hi, Flo, I have to try greasing the pole even if it's only to watch the squirrels getting their due. The pests.

The bear got to the bird feeder again! A week ago an unusual-for-May rain fell for a good period of time. The clay soil was soaked deep into the ground. It became slippery and mushy. That darn bear must have done a full body slam against the pole because it was pushed over and lying at an angle.

So now I will dig deeper, put in a fatter pipe and buy a truck load of concrete to set it. I'm gonna win!!!!
