And they aren't even actually losses, but rather just the decrease in the share prices and resulting value of the investments during the quarter form 1/11/18 - 3/31/18. I really question the validity of this rule for a company like BRK, as having to report decreases in share price makes no sense here. Operating earnings were outstanding and I believe a record in terms of revenue, etc.
