I don't think you quite get it. This is not about Manafort. It is about the rule of law and unfettered power by the special prosecutor.

Best to abandon the Harry Reid short term approach and start thinking about what happens if Democrats ever get back in power. It will then be their turn to back up to the bung hole of the political barrel and rules won't change for them, once a legal precedent has been established.
