Johanna I have also gotten an item about a Canadian company Vanadium One Energy http://www.vanadiumone.com/

While the Vanadium going into steel is large I believe that the extremely large capacities possible from vanadium redox batteries make them well suited for use in large power storage applications. I would be happy to see Largo (or another Mark Smith company) get actively involved with this down stream or vertical integration application.

I like that Largo is working with some of these battery makers, and think that Vionx a US company (vionx Energy www.vionixenergy.com) and redT Energy Storeage a UK company (www.redtenergy.com) are furthest along. As best I could find they are not public.

I particularly like Vionx because:
- they are a US company;
- they are intimately involved with United Technologies (my first metallurgy job was helping develop a brazing technique for Ti at Pratt & Whitney);
- involved with a couple of insurance companies demonstrating understanding the risk of long term survivability, maintenance, etc. always high in the minds of the users and the finance people.


I think there is a great business potential in three areas:

1. Develop a turnkey package (scaleable) to go out and install facilities that will allow existing solar/wind farms to obtain power purchases from the grid closer to 100% instead of the 25-35% that they now have because of the "your power is not available when we need it" mentality and reality.

2. Partner with the existing companies that are now selling solar/wind farm project to be there power leveling component so that the can obtain power purchases from the grid closer to 100% instead of the 25-35% that they now have because of the "your power is not available when we need it"

3. Develop a turnkey package (scaleable) to go out and install facilities at remote mine and other remote sites to install solar/wind farm project to avoid the diesel generated power.
