My Guess is China may want to hurry the he'll up and sign the framework contract with the philipines since mischief reef is actually the economic zone of ph. And so is scarboro school . If duterte signs off as part of the deal that he allows them to militarize those ph islands to help protect the oil fields together in the same fashion we militarize South Korea then it's a non issue. China needs the ph for geo politics more than they need them. These actions are totally against unclos without the right legality. The ph wanted to sleep with the devil rather than have the international community back then up. His personal hatred for America put him in this situation supposedly to get those 20% Chinese loans to rebuild ph up. It could still work out in our favor more now. Also if china hesitates this bi polar duterte could do a switcheroo if trump makes a deal with them instead to protect ph oil without taking half like china will. How will the philipines react? If resentment grows they could impeach this duterte guy in a year or two. Nobody knows.
All this is a continuation from when Marcos sold out the country when he brought china in to exploresc72 together for a handful of loans. This was labeled unconstitutional back then without a framework contract but china wats to finish what they started regardless if it's beginnings were a corrupt act against the people. Obama failed the community there for not offering to militarize the ph the way we use to have bases there anyway..
Free publicity is good publicity. More people will know about the oil/gasrich reed bank. When I go to check pxp's profile on Reuters it mentions all their subsidiaries except fecof. It's like they don't want anyone to know about their private little piggy bank Fecof. This needs to change quickly
