As far as the set up, Technically you are very correct, I ignored the fact that there was a very small dip on the RSI which technically did not make it a Divergence set up and I should not have taken the trade either.
But I had a plan and decided not to change the plan mid stream. Wasn't a huge loss, but still not happy I forced the trade so late in the day.
But now we do have a nice Divergence so this will play into the strategy once it pulls back. Another possible .786 dip play. Came really close to the 1.618 extension.
