Hey there, Gailfriend,

I had a fun filled, action packed day yesterday. The good news is that nobody got hurt, and you've got a few more white bass than you did before.

I grew up in a tiny town with a population of 250, most of that number was stray dogs and cats. Another guy with a birthday 3 days before mine, happened to grow up in that same town. We have been tighter than brothers, ever since I kicked his butt in 2d grade. (seriously, that's how we met and became buddies)

I've mentioned the morel mushrooms before. Around here, every self respecting redneck knows how and where to find them. My buddy and I were out hunting them yesterday morning by the river. He quit smoking cigs, then started again. Every single time we get together, which is usually once or twice a week, he talks about quitting. well....he should have done it. That bonehead thought he put one out on a log. It's so dry here, the catfish have ticks. That cig started a fire. I noticed it when we were about 1/4 of a mile away. The wind was blowing about 25-30 miles an hour and this old man was at a dead run to get back there and put it out. We got there in just the nick of time.

Since it was still early in the day? We proceeded to go fishing in the river and caught the living snot out of them. Since it's a rather long walk from the parking lot, up the hill and thru the woods? I only kept 2, 4 pd walleyes, and 12 white bass. I'll share the bass. lol.

I was going to fire up the smoker and cook the walleyes this afternoon. The boss man just called. My presence is requested at work tonight.

Never a dull moment.

It's good to hear that you and Bryan had a good time camping. You should do that more often.
