Most likely if they want the ticker for a new T-Mobile Sprint merger they will wait to TALK is completely delisted by the SEC.

Then big board gets first choice and priority.

That way they don't have to pay the company or shareholders anything for the ticker, if it will still be trading they could offer a cash out and I would be surprised if this were to happen, company can get for free if they wait.

Then they will take the ticker, their current shareholders and merge into the new ticker at different agreed up on ratios.

iTalk Inc shareholders however would be left with iTalk Inc private shares unrelated to the merger. Don't expect a major merger to carry a tickers shareholder base, they already have one.

Then we will only have the reminder of our old beloved ticker TALK when the new telecom giant beats expectations that we are not included.

That's my take, still have no idea what will or won't happen in reality, hope all have recouped any loss here by now in other trades...
