I dont think a R&D agreement would prevent a company from being bought or sold,The agreement would just transfer to new owner,Plus the R&D may only be on one or two products so that wouldnt give some one control of what the company does with other products in which they have no agreement.And doesnt give them contol of the company all depends on what the two partys agreed upon
