One month after the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, the demand to reinforce school facilities for advanced security and defense against unpredictable threats is at an all-time high. C-Bond Systems Ballistic Resistant Film System is a high performance, vital upgrade to building glass and secured entry ways that is already being utilized in school districts in Houston and Dallas, as well as numerous corporate and government facilities throughout the United States.

The C-Bond Ballistic Resistant Film System is comprised of a proprietary security film and C-Bond’s glass strengthening technology, which is represented by 23 patents and patent pending applications. The C-Bond solution increases the mechanical properties of the window glass unit, enabling the glass to dissipate higher energy by targeting and repairing the microscopic flaws and defects that are randomly distributed naturally on the glass surface. These surface imperfections weaken the glass composite structure and initiate failures. C-Bond chemically bonds to the defects increasing both strength and flexibility.
