Um... Nanotech wasn't brought in until a full year after the original launch target of Summer of 2012.

Of course it takes money to launch something like this. They never had the money but they announced it anyway. They knew they couldn't raise money, gather video masters, make deals with content owners and get that site up and running. They constantly jump the gun and announce things without a plan to execute.
They don't learn by mistakes.
