I'm sorry you feel that way.
I didn't just get here, nor am I going anywhere. And I haven't written a single word to pump this stock. I just like reflecting on everyone's attitudes. The sentiment that SB is a scamming CEO seems prevalent on this forum, though it's an opinion that doesn't seem to hold much water. Yes, it would have been nice for last year's run to have continued and surpassed all of our expectations by now, but there have been countless explanations as to why we've had to go through this process. Again, I find it laughable that people bash SB specifically, when he is the one making us money.
When I was younger my Dad used to read me "The Book of Virtues." Patience is something that our world lacks. We all want to make a quick buck and point the finger at somebody else when we don't. I don't know SB personally. You're right, he very well could be some slimy CEO who is just going to ride the wave and cash out when we least expect it. Though for all the reasons that are discussed here every day, I'm not buying into that cynical narrative as easily as others. I commend skepticism. I think it's a healthy quality to exhibit. But this claim that 'if only we had somebody else behind the wheel we'd be millionaires by now' is greedy, impatient, and frankly emblematic of the toxic modern attitude that we are all owed something. We aren't. Until the crackdown on distracted driving really starts to hit the public's wallets, we won't see massive and exponential gains. That's okay.
Anyway, I think I'm going to fast today. I need to flush out these toxins.
