The reason they don’t announce the name of the company they are buying is in PURA’s interest. The LOI can be broken by either party for a predetermined financial penalty. The company being purchased is legally bound by the LOI not to disclose who they are in negotiations with or even that they are selling. Otherwise they could shop around for other buyers and raise the price or bail on PURA if another buyer comes along. Try to delete this post for off topic!
