i think you're missing my point. dilution is leverage. if the company has a bunch of buyers who want in lower than anyone else, the note takes care of them. then the company can use money to buy some of the dilution, and they get an added bounce on the way back up, as buyback news hits the wires.

i'm not saying it will or won't play out like this, but buybacks with funds from conversions happens quite often. and it always makes the bulls run wild.

we're especially likely to see a move like this if a restructuring means additional financing on more favorable terms.

that $900K note is probably not all they've got coming.
