According to that article LNG prices are doing just fine and that's exactly what we/they intend to do with the gas find in sc72. Turn a great portion of it into LNG,( liquified natural gas) which in turn , is giving us way more profits dollar wise than what malampaya has returned during the majority of its lifespan so far.
That's why they are in plans to build that LNG facility. Gas prices are near the bottom spectrum from their 10 year chart, despite oil around 70 a barrel. Being near the bottom is ok because they can only go up from here.
I've gone thru so many articles for Fecof and sc72 I feel like I know it like one of the family now. I can tell you that "us energy informations agency/administration" is the information branch for the us energy dept and was putting the oil/gas potential for the South China Sea and philipines at a big difference to the Chinese estimates a decade ago. Over the decade. Everyone around the world has revised their numbers and estimates are way higher, so maybe china wasn't exaggerating in the first place. Makes sense that they want to bully everyone into submission for their gas/oil because they know it's there. Maybe they hacked into nasa's thermal images if their own satellites didn't give them a clear sign too. Maybe USA were keeping it quiet for USA to take advantage of the auctions in the PH. Who knows?
My gut feeling is from the insider buying of forum energy. The steps taken by Manny Pangilinan, and the most recent surveys and hints, is that is more likely 4 times the size, and when that's verified I will quickly change my Conservative estimates Way higher.
With all due respects, I don't think I'm hyping the stock by saying that the estimates on this message board are low by not considering LNG prices as well as future inflation prices, as well as the actual number of tcf. Which we will learn soon enough as this progresses.
