the reason people invest in stocks is to own a peice of a company. when that company makes money since they own part of it they are able to participate in it. The reason companies sell stock to the public is for working capital to enable them to fund projects. any investor is just that,,, AN investor.

now there are a lot of people who don't give a donkey's ass what a company does, or how it makes its money, and everyone is totally fine with that. UNTIL they all realize that the appreciation in stock value only comes from demand recycled from previous demand for that demand. then they go on to a more realistic company than actually has a product and prospects...
