If...or when...we go thru most days without opening and reading our Bible. When we only take enough time to spit out a couple little prayers each day if that many. Are we not....in our own way...telling God that we dont have time for Him. In fact we are saying that we dont have time for joy...peace...contentment or direction...because as we should know...God is the only source of all these most important things. The reason for meditation in reading our Bibles and prayer is a period of time each day set aside to contemplate the Lord...listen to Him...learn of Him and allow His Spirit to fill us to overflowing. A time of conversation with the creator of the universe. When we meet with God in this way...He equips us to carry out our lives in a godly way and helps us build a strong foundation to cope with whatever life or satan or own flesh...throws at us. As we willingly spend time with God...He prepares us for life on earth and life eternal! The world is full of self help books and people that will try and tell us how and why we should live our lives a certain way...but in the grand scheme of the universe...who is more capable of helping us than the very person that created us. God gave us a owners manual to help us...its called the Bible...do you use it? God longs to talk to us...do you listen for Him...Scripture says if we will draw close to God He will draw close to us...are you seeking? Think about it.
