The mud room tested just about all of my skills, since I really couldn't find a handyman who was willing to tackle it. So, I had to design it, draw it out for the permit, and then go through all of the construction phase. I didn't finish the skirt today like I had planned, but it is 1/3 in place. Fussy cutting the Hardi-Backer boards to fit the profile near the corners is time consuming. I cut the short runs with a sabre saw, and score to break other lengths. I'm estimating we've spent near 5K on materials, and likely saved a bucket on labor!
