He only seems smart, because you believed in him. Look back at the deal with Toys R Us deal,and you will see it wasn't that good and didn't make sense. Giving away free comic books (for ad revenue), then requiring a purchase to get them. You also needed to get all the comics in a series to follow the story (not a story per issue). I don't know about most people, but, I have never had to go to Toys R Us on a monthly basis, even at the peak of my toy buying years. It would have made much more sense to partner with libraries to give the comics away (like a lot of free newspapers). Edit It also didn't make sense that REDG had to provide a certain type of bag (that could not be manufactured, but Toys R Us had theirs).
I don't know how legal the stuff he did is, If he had money he could probably be sued for the broken promises and seemingly false information he put out.
