Looking for places to move to and just spent the last couple weeks on the east coast of Florida. I absolutely LOVE the area with the ocean and great weather and plenty of good restaurants that all give you way too much food.
However, the spousal_unit HATES it.....Absolutely hates the people down there, which seems like about 80% of either NYers or Bostonians. You can count on getting flipped off at least twice a day (and no, this wasn't just us as I watch everyone getting flipped off). Can't tell you how many NY license plates and saw people on a five lane road, cutting in front of two other lanes to make a left turn.
What the heck is it about NYers that they feel like they deserve special treatment and rules don't apply to them? Flew home with some guy seated next to us who absolutely refused to turn off his phone and laptop. I said something to him and his response was "yeah it's ok" and he went back to his phone call.
Anyway, I just don't get how a certain part of our country thinks rules do not apply to them. What a shame as a place near the ocean really appeals to me.

Just my opinion, of course.
