Wouldn't open conference calls fall under that same mentality? I would imagine there was a time when conference calls were very limited or not done at all for the same sort of reasons. Then slowly, technology changed, culture towards these sorts of issues changed and someone took the leap, then other companies followed.

I can understand the underlying legal difficulties, however, I can also understand the benefits a company might enjoy being so transparent to their shareholders. So overall it's still a gray to me.

We'll see how it goes...

Definitely a fascinating "experiment" though!
