It is OT, but can impact market
There are huge trades in Ford calls today So I saw a play which made me think it is time to go long Ford.
Immediately I closed my all short position in Ford.
It does not mean it can not go lower in short term as option seller will try to cover himself.
In leaps some one bought today 56024 contract on 7.87 and 5600 on 4.87 strike price. In 7.87 open Interest was only 16K +,
It could be some one thinking Ford can go down enough that going long will give at that price enough leverage. Most of these (48,000) traded @ $3.56 and 8000 at 3.50.
47843 contract sold for 11 $ strike.
My only thinking for bearish play is Usually that kind of player sell enough puts to cover himself. That is not seen here yet may be it will come after x div.
I will appreciate others in put.
