Point of information: I am not addressing ks here. It's a hilarious quote/excerpt from the two ladies interviewed about being put out of biz by fb. Worth seeing Ted Cruz interview the Zuck, too.
I've had my own issue with fb, lately and am quite dismayed. Long story short, I was doing some effective targeted advertising on fb. All of a sudden some (rhymes with grass mole) began "liking" my various pages about 200 times with fictitious accounts. The common aspect is the "friends" on the sundry fictitious accounts are arab men. So it appears to be phishing to get "friends" for arab men. It is very tedious weeding them out (banning)
There is no readily available way to contact fb to report. Worse, there is no apparent way to stop the infiltrated ad gone awry except truncate the ad duration but the meter keeps ticking for a day.
A few years ago my 20+ year Yahoo email account was hijacked and used to send out thousands of solicitations for personal information over my handle which included my name.
I'm ready to give up on social media and withstand being labeled a luddite.
Do you know, at least one past head of the CIA would not use email based on knowledge how susceptible accounts were?
Will likely give up fb, though not for the privacy concerns others are having but because it doesn't work. The model is effective but the chinks in the armor will get you killed (i.e. I'm marketing to lovely church ladies for the most part and they are seeing some junk likes- various states of dress, middle east men looking for heaven knows what, suspicious intent, not connection to parish, etc. etc.)
