Shell, If the roadside device is "court accepted" wouldn't that eliminate the need to couple the device to a MS at the police station for verification?  How many jurisdictions are there that can afford a bench top MS, not to mention training individuals to operate it.

IMO - The devices once "court certified" will have to be sent out routinely for calibration to maintain their certification.
