I really wish things were better for vplm but I'm afraid that all the talk you often hear about how vplm couldn't be in a better place and/or that a settlement is (perpetually) near, is false hope and pipe dreams. I could say that outlook is aside & separate from the idea of whether or not the patents are "all that", but actually you can't separate it, because if they were ("all that"), I dont think we'd be in this position of most likely spinning wheels for years. Instead, any one of smart entities would have snatched up such a monster of a gold mine. Huberis and arrogance would've only gone so far. Belief in attrition would've only gone so far. These "reasons" just don't seem to hold much water anymore, if ever they did.

It's beginning to look like to me, that if vplm is ever going to actually collect in a big way, it's likely best to leave it in a will for your kids or grandkids, and that's only assuming that once the base patents expire, that the fight will still be allowed to go on retroactively.

I believe more now than ever, that the only practical way to benefit from this is to hope there continues to be substantial price variations which would allow for trading. This stock is for trading. Holding out forever, seems less & less prudent everyday.

Those w/huge positions that got in real cheap have an easy go, but those w/smaller positions, esp if they got in at higher prices, don't have a lot of choices, if they want to get somewhere with this play. I bet there will be a ton of speculative trading approaching the 26th (again..)
