09:54 ET - UnitedHealth(UNH) says that so far, it's not seeing big discounting during the early part of the selling season for 2019 employer health and pharmacy-benefits coverage. On the health side, the insurer says that an early theme is " around incumbency" on the health-benefits side, and it hasn't seen "any measurable change in pricing," tied to the tax overhaul that reduced corporate rates for many insurers. On the PBM side, the company says pricing is "very competitive" but "stable," implying that a series of pending acquisitions involving the biggest PBMs aren't generating aggressive pricing aimed at shoring up market share. Cigna(CI) has struck a deal for Express Scripts(ESRX), and CVS Health(CVS) is aiming to take over Aetna. (anna.mathews@wsj.com)
