April 15--Rain this afternoon. I didn't do anything in the beds. The storm will intensify later in the evening. Maybe 2 inches by morning when it cools down below 40.

It is time to sow cucumber seeds. I have the Miniature White packet from Baker Creek. I will probably go to either Lowe's or Dollar General for green pickling cukes.

I still need manure for 6 tomato boxes which I will probably get from Bobby's stable this coming Saturday. Before then I hope to put in the others.

I picked some asparagus spears to take to Jerry on Monday. They really are tender when fresh picked.

Some of Muhammed's pole bean seed he planted inside the fence on N. Tryon Street actually germinated. He sowed them on a warm Saturday last March. I got some topsoil and made little hills next to the fence for bean seeds.

I found a plastic wheel cover I'm thinking of using for a pole bean set up much like the ones in the seed catalogs. Way less expensive. I can get Snapper from glass shop to drill a hole in the center for a pole. I will attach twine at the top and tie it to each hole one sees in the image.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
