The S9 Antminer mining machine, at the current bitcoin price, will make about 500$ a month each. Keep in mind they run 24/7. The 100,000 sq ft warehouse has an electrical capacity of 115 megawatts. That can run up to 57,000 S9 mining machines.
Let’s say, for easy math, they have 20,000 machines X 500 = 10,000,000$ a month.
How much does it cost to run said machines each month?
Each machine uses 1.6 kilowatts an hour divided by .95 (the efficiency rate of electricity). So the equation will look like this.
20,000 machines X 1.6/.95 X 24 hours X 30 days X .04 (rate of electricity per kilowatt hour - Quebec prices - some of the cheapest in the world - hence it being there)
This equals 907,105 dollars a month to run 20,000 machines. So it’s about a 90% profit margin between money generated and the cost of electricity. This equation is the same weather you have a 1000 machines or a 100,000 machines.
