Speaking of taxable events. I thought that exchanging coin a for coin b was considered a"like kind" taxable event that must be reported even though it still hasn't been sold. But when I asked my accountant this, she said she couldn't imagine that unless it was sold. I guess accountants don't know what common investors know?
