Borus co-founded Ibex (formerly Lazarus Management Company) in 2003 and took over the day-to-day responsibilities for the firm’s operations and investments in 2009. Since that time, Borus has grown the firm from a few million dollars of outside capital in a single fund to hundreds of millions in assets across four main strategies. Prior to Ibex, he worked at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in both the private equity and investment banking groups in New York and London, where he helped raise over $300 million in private placement transactions. Borus has served on the Board of Directors of the Anti-Defamation League and Colorado Public Radio. In his spare time, he also became a syndicated cartoonist with a daily comic strip appearing regularly in over 300 newspapers across the country. Borus graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
