Good observation, I saw the same article. What should be recognized is that Denner is not the only hedge fund guy to argue for more consolidation (M&A) based on the well established belief that a small company would have its pipeline more effectively commercialized by a larger firm. SGYP management effort to go it alone, while admirable, has a ceiling that is compounded by a limited pipeline. At some point, the BOD will finally wake up and hire a investment banking firm to pursue "strategic options."
