Not only can MCC handle that but the remote can be used for many different purposes..I was told it can also be used for Dragon dictation purposes..Skype as we already know and all other applications where voice can be used..What I never thought to even ask about because of the Media Center functionality they advertise they threw in this..They said that the remote can be used on any computer that has Windows XP/Pro in place of a stand alone mic. You just have to plug in the receiver to your USB port and you can use the remote instead..The only drawback is that in that configuration while not using the MC configuration you lose the RF feature and being able to operate it from a non-line of sight location but still get the normal IR distance..So you can sit across the room and carry on a conversation by live messenger..or video conference and not have to be that close to the computer screen to get good sound.. Bring on the remote..I forgot to ask..but I would hope they do advertise that functionality...veno
